Freelancer is Unable to Start Working

In case your hired freelancer is not able to commence your project, it’s recommended to talk out the problems with them. Address the causes due to which they can’t proceed. This is even more important if there were any modifications made in the project scope after the acceptance of the award by the freelancer.

You have the following options in case your hired freelancer is unable to start work on the project:

    ● Award another freelancer from your list of existing bidders.

    ● Repost the project to make another pool of bidders, from which you can choose a new freelancer.

    ● Mark the project as Incomplete to end the project. Freelancers’ Completion Rate can be affected by incomplete projects, so this option is recommended for the situation when both parties have previously attempted to sort out their issues concerning the project.

    ● Cancel the project in case you don’t want it to be completed anymore. This action will also affect your freelancer’s Completion Rate.

It is a violation of our Code of Conduct if freelancers commit to work on the project but do not have the proficiency to work on it. If any freelancer does this contravention, you can report them for further interrogation and corrective action.
